interruption...
I interrupt this blog to make a statement...
I am so honored to be married to such an amazing man!!!
I fall in love with him more when I think about the time and dedication he spends learning and studying how to be a Godly man! He is an AMAZING husband and daddy! God has shown His Grace to our family, and even when we make mistakes, He shows us that if we choose to make our lives right, and follow Him, that He will bless us! And He has!!!
Every day he shows me how much he loves me, with his words and with so many actions!!!
He tells me I'm beautiful but most importantly letting me have lots of "beauty" rest :) He does so much around the house; laundry (starts, dries, folds and puts away), dishes, amazing dinners, desserts (chocolate chip cookies), vacuuming, cleaning up the kids toys, crafts and trash! I cannot even write all the things he does around our home!!!
He teaches our boys to be Godly men that treat women (Mama and sisters) with respect and love. He teaches our girls how a man should treat them, with Love and respect!
5 years ago JK and I fell in love and we knew it would last forever. I remember the first innocent touch of our legs under the restaurant table, and I still feel the same way when we touch (non-sexual :) today! The way my heart smiled when he said sweet things to me, and how my heart still smiles every day when I spend time talking to and cuddling him!
5 years ago he showed me how wonderful of a daddy he was and wanted to be to my kids and weeks later to my belly when our little girl started to grow inside me!
People make mistakes and sometimes the choices they make hurt others and leave lasting consequences, but God has shown us His Mercy, Grace and Love and Forgiveness as we have turned our lives around and began a Godly marriage following His plan for marriage and being parents.
Although some people that we hurt still hold bitterness in their hearts, we are so grateful to have moved on and be living a life surrounded by Godly family and friends that Love and Support us. God has used our sinful past to bring people to salvation, sometimes knowing that you are not the only "imperfect" person helps you understand that God can forgive you and give you a better life too!
In 9.10.11 when my husband and kids almost lost a wife and mama, JK proved his love for me by sitting with me through the struggle of healing. He took on the roll of daddy and mama for as long and as often as I needed him to. And continually helps me stand when I am weak!!!
In October 2012 when he surprised be with a vow renewal, which proved to me and our 4 kids that he was 100% committed to me and our family and that he would continue to be the best husband and daddy that he can be (with the strength the comes from Christ). Every moment of that renewal rang LOVE and GRACE and showed me what an AMAZING gift God has given me!!! (My Husband).
Not every day is easy or smells like roses, but when we continue to look to Jesus and are honest with each other about where we need help, the days go by a little easier :) As we remember that in each small thing we do, that God has placed us there to be a witness of His Love, Grace and Mercy and to show Jesus in us. As well as raising our children to know that God is the God of Love, Grace and Mercy and that living a life walking with Him will not mean we won't have struggles, but that when we do, that Jesus is our Rock!
It makes me smile when I think that we have experienced so much JOY as a family. We have also had our share of sorrow, but when Jesus looks at our family and sees us growing to love and serve Him, that He will receive the Glory!
It doesn't get more honest than this... JK is amazing and He longs to bring God Glory, whether it's at T-Mobile, at home, at King Soopers or at church. And even when I disagree that he makes the right choices instead of the ones I would choose, or what is deserved... he does what is right and what Glorifies God, and if he slips up and makes a mistake, forgive him, he's human anyway!!!
JK, I will love you forever! (And Forever is going to be a long time!)
